Sandland
22nd March 2022
We weren’t sure what to expect going here.
I cant recall if we’d seen it on Google or if it had been recommended.
In any case it tied in well with a long days walk along the coast.
Rolling up to Sandland we were greeted by a somewhat imposing cage like walls and a mildly dilapidated entrance gate. Still we’d come all this way so in we went
And it was amazing. The creations that various artist had come up with were so cool, some seemingly impossible.
Many of the sand sculptures were taller than us, some possibly twice as tall.
The sculptures are buit over a couple of weeks and then stay up for most of the year to be viewed before they are taken down and built anew in a different theme.
Kleo’s favourite was the gryphon, while Cohen did quite like the Lion.
